Production Manager / Assistant Manager

Job Location:

Taman Perindustrian Puncak, Ulu Tiram, Johor

Job Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning and Control:

• Oversee daily production schedules and ensure the plant meets production targets for volume, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Manage the production process from receiving raw materials to final product delivery.
• Ensure the seamless flow of goods from the plant to the Singapore customer.

2. Team Management

• Supervise production staff, including operators and shift supervisors, ensuring their performance aligns with company goals.
• Implement training programs and foster a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
• Plan staffing to ensure adequate workforce for peak production times.

3. Process Optimization:

• Continuously monitor and improve production processes to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Work closely with R&D, purchasing, logistics, and QA teams to address bottlenecks and optimize processes.
• Implement lean manufacturing practices, emphasizing minimal manual labor and increased machinery dependency.

4. Quality Assurance:

• Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP) and customer specifications.
• Monitor quality control processes and liaise with QA teams to resolve any quality issues swiftly.

5. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

• Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and timely delivery of finished products to customers.
• Manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.

6. Maintenance and Safety:

• Ensure proper maintenance of production equipment and infrastructure.
• Enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment and reduce workplace accidents.

7. Reporting and Analysis:

• Provide regular reports on production performance, waste levels, labor efficiency, and machinery utilization to senior management.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

8. Customer Collaboration:

• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure production aligns with customer demand and specifications.
• Address and resolve any production-related issues raised by the Singapore customer.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Production Manager, preferably in the food processing industry.
• Strong knowledge of production processes and food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a team, handle production planning, and optimize processes.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and equipment maintenance.
• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams (R&D, QA, logistics).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate performance reports.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to RM7,500.00 per month
