Assistant Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Leadership and Team Management
• Supports Production Manager in daily operation matters and strategic decisions.
• Manage a high-performing production team to achieve operational goals.
• Foster a collaborative and motivated work culture to ensure maximum team efficiency.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training to upskill team members.
• Operational Oversight
• Oversee daily production activities to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor production operations to meet customer demands and company objectives.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve productivity.
• Process Optimization
• Apply automation expertise and knowledge of extrusion processes to enhance production efficiency.
• Collaborate with technical and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and resolve technical issues.
• Introduce process improvements to reduce waste, optimize resource utilization, and boost output.
• Safety and Compliance
• Ensure all production activities adhere to safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain workplace safety and cleanliness.
• Stakeholder Communication
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production goals with business objectives.
• Adaptability and Stress Management
• Maintain focus and composure in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Manage long working hours while ensuring productivity and operational success.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience:
• 5–8 years of experience as a Production Senior Supervisor or Deputy Manager or in a similar leadership role in manufacturing.
• Technical Expertise:
• Solid understanding of automation systems and extrusion processes.
• Knowledge of chemical manufacturing is a significant advantage.
• Skills:
• Excellent team-building and leadership capabilities.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written) for dealing with international suppliers.
• Quick learner with a knack for adapting to new processes and technologies.
• Personal Attributes:
• Stress-resilient and able to handle the demands of a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Willingness to work long hours when needed to meet production goals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to RM9,500.00 per month
