Account Management:- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial transactions.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded and classified accurately according to accounting standards.
- Maintain, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial data integrity.
Financial Reporting:- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist with budget preparation and monitor company financial performance by comparing budgeted figures to actual figures.
- Collaborate with the finance team to conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
Compliance and Audit Support:- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and company policies.
- Support external auditors by preparing audit schedules, resolving queries, and providing documentation as required.
- Stay updated on tax and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and minimize potential financial risks.
Process Improvement:- Identify opportunities for process optimization within the accounting function, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to automate and streamline accounting workflows.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Mentorship and Team Leadership:
Educational Background:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Experience:- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a similar industry.
- Prior experience in a senior accounting or financial reporting role is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting regulations.
