The primary role of Facilities Management function is to efficiently manage the operation of ResMed’s facilities to minimize operational and life cycle costs. Key deliverables include providing safe, effective, efficient and responsive services to all areas of the business, covering facility, production and IT services. Providing asset and maintenance management of electronic and software based technological systems required to manage and monitor buildings, plant and equipment or provide services to staff, visitors and contractors.
Let’s talk about Responsibilities
You are a key member in Facilities Dept, responsible for the facilities operations of soft, hard & technical services, to achieve the company’s goals and objectives with respect to:
- Promote a healthy and safe work environment and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, efficient and responsive facility maintenance and support services.
- Meeting QMS and standards (MDSAP & ISO13485) requirement
- Ensuring critical production/ R&D, facilities and service-related systems remain operational and meet user, regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Provide technical input on process and equipment to fulfil all aspects of the maintenance and support services operations.
- Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, tender and supplier agreements and ensure adequate resources are provided.
- Facilities set-up for new or existing production/ R&D environment including validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ), audit preparations, documents updates in accordance with procedural requirement.
- Ensuring all process equipment and annual checks/calibrations are completed and in compliance to quality or procedural requirements
- To undertake assignments or task as assigned by the direct report
In particular, to:
- Work with OH&S team to ensure compliance with all applicable local regulatory requirements.
- Work with Regulatory, Quality and Manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with all requirements of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
- Ensure the facility hard & technical services i.e. Mechanical and Electrical services meets quality, regulatory, safety and operational requirement. This include supervising, monitoring. coordinating and keeping necessary records associated with ACMV & Exhaust system, Electrical, Fire protection system, Plumbing & Sanitary, CDA, C&S, Utilities, Environmental and general building works (Any additional assignment as requested by the Head of Department).
- Ensure the facility soft services meets quality, regulatory, safety and operational requirement. This includes supervising, monitoring, Coordinating and keeping necessary records associated with operation and maintenance of Housekeeping, Pest Control, Security services (including card access system & CCTV), Audio Visual Systems, Elevators, CEMS, Space planning, Building and Structures, Offices furniture, Events management, Waste and Environment matters, etc (Any additional assignment as requested by the Head of Department).
- Manage and renew all facilities related equipment licenses and permits, as well as maintenance contracts.
- Support in preparation and managing Departmental maintenance budgets and ensure adequate resources are provided.
- Manage service performance level, including the management of safety, cost, quality and environment.
- Prepare and/or carryout, technical reports, standard operating procedure, qualification protocol, services agreements, training, approval papers, tender specifications and correspondence with authorities, consultants and contractors.
- Facility set-up for new or existing production/ R&D environment (IQ/OQ/PQ) in accordance with procedural requirement. This includes hands-on approach towards establishing and maintain facility verification and qualifications.
- Manage facility upgrade or improvement projects in accordance to operational and user requirement.
- Plan, evaluate and manage data and maintenance program within a maintenance management integrated platform
- Maintain standard operating procedures, systems and documents related to facilities management and services are available, effective and audit ready.
- Respond and be on-call services and be available to provide after-hour presence if required for emergencies or maintenance activities.
- Perform other duties, responsibilities and projects as assigned and as skills and experience permits.
- Being the person-in-charge of multiple ResMed Manufacturing sites in Malaysia.
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or Facilities Management, with min. 7-years working experience in/with manufacturing environment, property or Building/Construction Management discipline
- Preferably with Electrical Chargeman license (A4/ B0).
- Exposure/ experienced with MDSAP, ISO13485, GMP practices, Lean, 5S and/or Six-Sigma.
- Proven experience & ability to lead and manage an in-house team in planning work load, supervision and achieving set target dates.
- Proven technical and supervisory experience including planning, supervising service providers and achieving set target.
- Hands-on skills with good technical knowledge of building operations, maintenance, spares management and facility qualification.
- Strong technical expertise and problem solving ability, in terms of facility Mechanical and Electrical systems and processes.
