General Description
Responsible for the overall operations of the hospital with a focus on patient safety and customer satisfaction. Regularly reviews performances of the above divisions/departments based on the following:
- Staff productivity improvement
- Control of operating costs which include staff costs
- Increase of staff satisfaction and retention
- Optimization of staff education/skill-set upgrading
- Embrace the core value and the culture of SHARE
- Drive the vision, mission and values of PAH in delivering excellent healthcare services to the community.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
(A) Allied Health
- Ensure policies and procedures are updated in compliance with the required standards of care from the accreditation bodies.
- Identify and plan resources in-line with the hospital growth plan.
- Review and monitor the key deliverables and KPIs of the respective divisions/departments with the necessary corrective actions and improvement plans to achieve the quality goals.
- Drive Unit Heads to be accountable for their annual financial budget.
- Ensure effective human resource planning to achieve optimal output in accordance with staff strength and capabilities.
- Focus on implementing new services and projects to support the growth of the hospital.
(B) Facility and Support Services Management (FSSM)
- Ensure policies and procedures are updated in compliance with the required standards in all the facilities and support services areas according to the accreditation requirements.
- Identify and plan facilities and resources in line with the hospital growth plan.
- Review and monitor the key projects and KPIs of FSSM with the necessary corrective actions and improvement plans to achieve the required timeline and goals.
- Establish good processes and tools to track and monitor the periodic preventive maintenance of all equipment and machines in the hospital.
- Work with cross-functional teams to continuously improve and/or fix the facility issues proactively.
- Drive Unit Heads to be accountable for their annual financial budget.
- Ensure effective manpower planning to achieve optimal output per staff strength and capabilities.
- Ensure effective utilization of resources in the Security department to provide a safe and secure environment for staff, doctors and patients.
(C) Construction and Facility Planning
- Ensure policies and procedures are updated in compliance with the required standards according to the accreditation requirements.
- Prioritize construction projects and facility planning activities to support the hospital growth plan.
- Review and monitor the key projects according to the committed timeline.
- Drive Unit Head to be accountable for the annual financial budget.
- Ensure engagement between FSSM Manager and Construction and Facility Planning Manager to achieve optimal output in accordance with staff strength and capabilities.
- Focus on the long term plan of the construction projects to support the growth and the strategic plan of the hospital.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS
- Degree in Business Management or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in related fields, including managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership qualities combined with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates high integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
- Prioritize excellence in customer service.
