General Description

Responsible for the overall operations of the hospital with a focus on patient safety and customer satisfaction. Regularly reviews performances of the above divisions/departments based on the following:

  1. Staff productivity improvement
  2. Control of operating costs which include staff costs
  3. Increase of staff satisfaction and retention
  4. Optimization of staff education/skill-set upgrading
  5. Embrace the core value and the culture of SHARE
  6. Drive the vision, mission and values of PAH in delivering excellent healthcare services to the community.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

(A) Allied Health

  1. Ensure policies and procedures are updated in compliance with the required standards of care from the accreditation bodies.
  2. Identify and plan resources in-line with the hospital growth plan.
  3. Review and monitor the key deliverables and KPIs of the respective divisions/departments with the necessary corrective actions and improvement plans to achieve the quality goals.
  4. Drive Unit Heads to be accountable for their annual financial budget.
  5. Ensure effective human resource planning to achieve optimal output in accordance with staff strength and capabilities.
  6. Focus on implementing new services and projects to support the growth of the hospital.

(B) Facility and Support Services Management (FSSM)

  1. Ensure policies and procedures are updated in compliance with the required standards in all the facilities and support services areas according to the accreditation requirements.
  2. Identify and plan facilities and resources in line with the hospital growth plan.
  3. Review and monitor the key projects and KPIs of FSSM with the necessary corrective actions and improvement plans to achieve the required timeline and goals.
  4. Establish good processes and tools to track and monitor the periodic preventive maintenance of all equipment and machines in the hospital.
  5. Work with cross-functional teams to continuously improve and/or fix the facility issues proactively.
  6. Drive Unit Heads to be accountable for their annual financial budget.
  7. Ensure effective manpower planning to achieve optimal output per staff strength and capabilities.
  8. Ensure effective utilization of resources in the Security department to provide a safe and secure environment for staff, doctors and patients.

(C) Construction and Facility Planning

  1. Ensure policies and procedures are updated in compliance with the required standards according to the accreditation requirements.
  2. Prioritize construction projects and facility planning activities to support the hospital growth plan.
  3. Review and monitor the key projects according to the committed timeline.
  4. Drive Unit Head to be accountable for the annual financial budget.
  5. Ensure engagement between FSSM Manager and Construction and Facility Planning Manager to achieve optimal output in accordance with staff strength and capabilities.
  6. Focus on the long term plan of the construction projects to support the growth and the strategic plan of the hospital.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS

  1. Degree in Business Management or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in related fields, including managing cross-functional teams.
  3. Strong leadership qualities combined with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Demonstrates high integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
  5. Prioritize excellence in customer service.
