- Supervise and mentor a team of junior & senior accountants, providing regular performance feedback and training to support skill development.
- Delegate and review work to ensure accuracy and efficiency within the team.
- Oversee the daily accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL), ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Manage cash flow and bank reconciliations, ensuring financial transactions are properly documented and categorized.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Assist in audit preparations, coordinate with external auditors when required, and address any audit-related queries to ensure smooth processes
- Identify opportunities for improvement within accounting workflows and internal controls, recommending solutions to streamline operations.
- Lead initiatives to implement new tools or best practices, enhancing reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Work closely with other departments to gather and analyze financial data, supporting decision-making and budgeting.
- Partner with finance leadership to address cross-department financial concerns and optimize resources.
- Manage upwards by directly and/or indirectly reporting to the Managing Director and owner, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a managerial role leading a team.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements and develop SOPs within Finance.
- Ability to work closely with senior management, including direct and indirect reporting to the Managing Director.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Professional certifications (CPA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) are a plus.
- Outgoing, hands-on, and well-mannered in communication with team members and other departments.
- Adaptable to work in a young, and energetic team environment.
