  • Supervise and mentor a team of junior & senior accountants, providing regular performance feedback and training to support skill development.
  • Delegate and review work to ensure accuracy and efficiency within the team.
  • Oversee the daily accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL), ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Manage cash flow and bank reconciliations, ensuring financial transactions are properly documented and categorized.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Assist in audit preparations, coordinate with external auditors when required, and address any audit-related queries to ensure smooth processes
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within accounting workflows and internal controls, recommending solutions to streamline operations.
  • Lead initiatives to implement new tools or best practices, enhancing reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work closely with other departments to gather and analyze financial data, supporting decision-making and budgeting.
  • Partner with finance leadership to address cross-department financial concerns and optimize resources.
  • Manage upwards by directly and/or indirectly reporting to the Managing Director and owner, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a managerial role leading a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements and develop SOPs within Finance.
  • Ability to work closely with senior management, including direct and indirect reporting to the Managing Director.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Professional certifications (CPA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) are a plus.
  • Outgoing, hands-on, and well-mannered in communication with team members and other departments.
  • Adaptable to work in a young, and energetic team environment.
