Assistant Legal Manager (Construction)
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. To advise and represent the Company in all legal matters and to ensure adherence to the law to protect the interest of the Company and to mitigate risks for the Company.
2. Ensure compliance to all legal and mandatory requirements in relation to litigation matters; to represents the company in all litigation cases;
3. Review legal contracts and agreements involving the organization, and provide legal opinion on legal content of contracts before formalization to ensure their legal validity;
4. Advise on all pre-contract and post-contract issues. Structure, draft, review and negotiate contracts;
5. Acts as a nodal point between the company and regulatory bodies
6. Reviews and undertakes modifications in existing policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with legal framework;
7. Manages compliance review from a regulatory compliance risk, reputational risk, financial risk, and operational risk perspective in strengthening the regulatory compliance framework within the organization;
8. Able to conduct legal research to keep abreast of all relevant changes of laws and advice Board and Management on the required changes and impact to business operations;
9. Undertake other ad hoc tasks assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENT
1. Candidate must possess a recognized bachelor’s Degree in Law;
2. At least 5 years of working experience in the relevant field;
3. Familiar with contracts;
4. Experienced in litigation/legal proceeding cases;
5. Familiarity with legal and regulatory framework for construction /
property development industry in particular the Malaysia market;
6. Demonstrate an unyielding personal integrity;
7. Good communication and presentation skills;
8. Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
