Manager, Solutions Design

Responsibilities • Building and delivering Warehousing and Transportation designs as per 3PL customer requirements • Work closely with the Business development and Operations teams to collect data, customer requirements and operational set ups • Provide technical expertise in engineering and commercials based on Warehouse & Tranportatione business and customer requirements • Create technical engineering drawings in CAD programmes like Paragon, CAPS, CAST, I2, Manugistics, AutoCAD or CLASS • Carry out and present financial feasibility studies for each project assigned to Solution Designer • Collect & analyse data; design, develop, model and evaluate optimal logistics, warehousing & transportation operating solutions for customers by Utilizing appropriate software/tools • Lead a team of Solution Delivery members to support and develop world-class innovative logistics solutions that exceed target sector/customers’ requirements • Provide Industrial Engineering expertise, techniques and methodologies/structure to direct the DSC operation team in improving service, processes, productivity and profitability • Identify selling rate and revenue in finance model to BD and implementation team • Work closely with Business Development, Project Management & Commercial Teams to ensure Business Case Assessment is carried out as per company policy and requirements • Work closely with Project Management & Operational Teams to ensure project implementation is according to agreed timelines, costs and operations requirements • Monitor projects post implementation to ensure cost model vs operations are aligned • Carry out project feasibility studies for pre- implementation proposal vs post implementation/ Go-Live Requirements: Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 8 years of experience as a Solutions Designer in a 3PL company Expert level use of Engineering Design Software, Excel Functions and Cost Benefit Analysis : Paragon, CAPS, CAST, I2, Manugistics, AutoCAD or CLASS
