As the Process Manager,

You will be responsible and accountable for the effective management of the Process activities in the plant and on the project management for all capital works on the operation shopfloor.

In your capacity, you will be providing direction, plan, organize and coordinate the required Process activities needed for the plant operations to achieve Centre of Operational Excellence (COE), drive product and process integrity and trademark protection in conformance to company standard, requirement and specification and the coordination of the plant wide implementation of Quality Management System and certification.

On project management, the position is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the completion of projects while ensuring these projects are on time, on budget, and within scope through an integrated project plan focused on the project objectives on scope, cost, timelines, risk, quality and communication.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide leadership to a team of Manufacturing team (direct) and production support team (indirect) to meet company’s targets and strategies. Manage and resolve people issues and conflict and lead the teams towards successful performance.
  • Manage and allocate the effective resources of the department (time, asset, people, financial, and others) to achieve department and plant goals.
  • Optimize manufacturing costs and manage resources to operate within or below budget with better yield management. Actively participate in manufacturing goals and objectives and develop action plans needed to successfully achieve the set goals and objectives.
  • Support Head of Manufacturing in providing inputs on key infrastructure upgrades required to meet strategic development of Long-Range Plan (LRP) and Annual Business Plan (BP).
  • Review the assigned process plant performance using statistical analyzes of monitoring data, process, trend and other quality indicators and identify opportunity areas for improvement. Solve operational problems and business problems that hinder productivity and effectivity of the business solutions.
  • Analyze and lead action required for key performance indicators, process mapping and continuous improvement of manufacturing. Review quality KPIs on Shift, Daily, Weekly and Monthly basis with team and engage stakeholder involved. Instigate corrective action from Production, Engineering, and or other functions that have direct control of the process. This includes, but limited to, identifying & leading change implementation of production processes, validation protocol, commissioning, conduct study on new testing scheme, alternative raw materials, modify packaging materials, new products, processes and Recipe management systems.
  • Drive structured process of continuous improvement thru deployment of various tools & program; i.e – EDGE, Kaizen, BPS – RCA. Formulate action plans in the production directed towards continuous improvement of all quality and process performance.
  • Ensure that corrective action plan on issues related to all audits are tracked and being done by the manufacturing team. Continually provide improvements and ideas to further develop performances, efficiency and effectiveness of the operational results.
  • Drive ‘Right First Time’ & ownership culture within the organization. As circle lead in the EDGE TPM Program, to ensure resources are deployed to deliver the implement of the pillar initiatives and sustain the improvement made on the shop floor, throughout the 3 tiers of maturity in EDGE model.
  • Project monitoring and controlling is part of the responsibility of the role which commence at the beginning of a project and continue throughout planning, execution, and closing. In the monitoring and controlling phase, the project manager is required to:
  • Monitor the progress of project
  • Managing the project budget.
  • Establish key milestone and comparing actual performance against planned performance.
  • Ensure project control standards, processes, and tools are met in driving efficiency
  • Ensure the project meets all applicable regulations and corporate requirements
  • Ensure formal sign off for project completion, close off contract & invoices and archive all project documentations for future use
  • Ensure the operation team members are trained, ready to support the success of the project execution. – vertical start up.
  • Develop, structure, train personnel and maintain a set of site standards that will be used for all Project work, including Safety Standards, Electrical Standards, and Mechanical Standards
  • Plan and initiate programs to achieve Centre of Operational Excellence (COE) in Production operations that have impact on productivity, quality, safety, reliability, and cost efficiency. Support and manage the business planning process like SAP, OE and Capability development etc.
  • Support the implementation of the plant certification & conformance to Integrated Management System (IMS) that consist of KORE, MESTI, ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO22000.
  • Ensure the plant compliance to all food laws, sanitary regulations, health requirement with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), 6S Housekeeping Program, Food Safety (HACCP), Integrated Management System (IMS) and Security system.
  • Implement documentation, conformances and compliances of the Integrated Management System, 5S housekeeping, GMP, HACCP, EDGE, Halal Certification and others document management system as deployed by company.
  • Provide direct reports with leadership, direction, and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills. Promulgate and communicate the Company’s vision and values. Facilitate inter-department and inter-function 1:1 RC communications to ensure smooth operation.
  • Identify the best people and continually build their talents through purposeful developmental programs. Take action to ensure talent is retained by providing development, appropriate work opportunities, and recognition.
  • Conduct training programs / refresher courses on quality assurance, sanitation, proper handling of products conforming to Integrated Management System.
  • Establish and leading company’s good asset maintenance and updated tracking record. This includes the lines equipment, change parts, production instrument and operational tools such as walkie talkie, transponder etc.
  • Establish and leading equipment repair and maintenance for manufacturing, effectiveness of the program, improvement plan and tracking for analysis. Establish validation protocol for preventive maintenance program and ensure the effectiveness

Qualifications

You will need to posses:

  • Education: Diploma in Technical or Engineering related field with minimum 12 years of working experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Technical or Engineering related field with minimum 10 years of working experience. Certification in Project Management is an added advantage.
  • Experience in leading and managing people to accomplish improved business results.
  • At least 7 - 10 years’ experience in Production or Project Department on FMCG environment
  • Knowledge of beverage manufacturing processes in various packaging types (cold fill, hot fill, aseptic, blow molding) including knowledge of management quality system.
  • Ability to manage and execute Production strategies across the supply chain to reduce costs and gain efficiencies in the completion of a quality finished good.
  • Knowledge of the principles of process/production management in order to effectively communicate and manage change in a supply chain environment.
  • Ability to analyze, balance, synchronies, and synergize all internal and external resources and assets to ensure the progress and ultimate completion of a finished good.
  • Experience in leading change management, improvement initiative and project.
