Job Summary:
The IT Change Management Specialist is responsible for managing the IT Change Management process under the IT Service Management (ITSM) framework. This role ensures that all changes to IT systems and infrastructure are implemented in a controlled and systematic manner, minimizing risks and disruptions to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Change Management Process Ownership
- Oversee and coordinate the end-to-end IT change management process.
- Establish and maintain governance policies, standards, and workflows for IT changes in alignment with ITSM best practices.
- Ensure changes are documented, reviewed, approved, and implemented efficiently with minimal risk to IT operations.
Change Requests Handling
- Review and assess incoming change requests (CRs) for accuracy, completeness, and business impact.
- Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to ensure proper review, approval, and scheduling of changes.
- Analyze the risk, scope, and impact of proposed changes, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
Communication and Reporting
- Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders regarding change statuses, timelines, and potential impacts.
- Generate and analyze change management KPIs, metrics, and reports to measure process effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure transparency of change activities through ITSM tools.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to optimize the change management process to reduce risks, minimize delays, and enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with Problem Management and Incident Management teams to understand recurring issues and refine the change process.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT Change Management within an ITSM framework.
- Experience working with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing changes in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with DevOps or Agile methodologies.

Job Type: Permanent
Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
