Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the secretarial department, ensuring that all corporate governance and compliance matters are handled effectively.
  • Prepare and maintain official company documents, including financial filings and board meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate the logistics of board meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and follow-up on action items.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and corporate regulations, acting as a liaison with legal authorities.
  • Maintain records of company shareholders and directors, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corporate governance policies and procedures.
  • Advise the organization on best practices for corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide training and support to staff on legal and secretarial practices and procedures.
  • Stay updated on developments in corporate law and governance, ensuring the company remains compliant.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field; a professional qualification in corporate governance or company secretarial practice is an advantage.
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in a corporate secretarial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate laws, governance frameworks, and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of dealing with complex issues.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are a plus.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
