Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the secretarial department, ensuring that all corporate governance and compliance matters are handled effectively.
- Prepare and maintain official company documents, including financial filings and board meeting minutes.
- Coordinate the logistics of board meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and follow-up on action items.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and corporate regulations, acting as a liaison with legal authorities.
- Maintain records of company shareholders and directors, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Assist in the development and implementation of corporate governance policies and procedures.
- Advise the organization on best practices for corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
- Provide training and support to staff on legal and secretarial practices and procedures.
- Stay updated on developments in corporate law and governance, ensuring the company remains compliant.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field; a professional qualification in corporate governance or company secretarial practice is an advantage.
- At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in a corporate secretarial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate laws, governance frameworks, and compliance regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of dealing with complex issues.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are a plus.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
