We are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team.

Role Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor at Godeco Services, you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building and interior design projects, from initial calculations to the final figures. Your role is critical in ensuring that projects are completed within budget, while also upholding the quality and standards expected by the company. You will work closely with designers, contractors, and project managers to ensure accurate costing, procurement, and financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management:

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bill of quantities (BQ) for projects.
  • Provide detailed cost analysis and forecasts during the pre- and post-contract phases.
  • Monitor and control project budgets to avoid cost overruns.
  • Analyze and negotiate costs with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality.

Tender & Contract Management:

  • Prepare tender documentation and manage the tendering process, including evaluation and selection of contractors and suppliers.
  • Review and negotiate contracts, ensuring terms are aligned with the project’s goals and budget.
  • Evaluate and certify contractor progress claims and payments.

Procurement:

  • Source and negotiate prices for materials, equipment, and services required for projects.
  • Ensure timely procurement of all resources, coordinating with the project team to avoid delays.

Valuation & Financial Reporting:

  • Conduct regular valuations of work in progress and prepare interim and final financial reports.
  • Perform cost control throughout the project, identifying potential cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management and stakeholders.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks related to project costs, contracts, and procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, contracts, and standards.

Project Collaboration:

  • Work closely with project managers, designers, and contractors to ensure project specifications and financial objectives are met.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project plans and budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Possesses at least of Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or interior design projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage supplier and contractor relationships effectively.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
