Job Summary:

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, with a focus on full-set accounting for a customized cabinet company. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable:

  • Prepare and process customer invoices.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

Accounts Payable:

  • Verify and process vendor invoices for payment.
  • Prepare and process employee reimbursements.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records.
  • Bank Reconciliation:
  • Reconcile bank statements with company records on a regular basis.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
  • General Ledger:
  • Journalize and post various accounting transactions to the general ledger.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Assist in tracking and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Prepare journal entries for inventory transactions.
  • Payroll Processing:
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll data and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Calculate and process employee taxes and deductions.
  • Other Duties:
  • Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain proper filing systems for all accounting documents.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a full-set accounting role preferred, but not essential for entry-level candidates.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) is essential.
  • Experience with accounting SQL software is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently 1 and as part of a team

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
