Position : RESTAURANT MANAGER

Report to : Area Manager

Job Function: Present, monitor and control the service quality of the restaurants to ensure up to the standard. Coordinate all restaurant affairs. Responsible for ensure the operation is smooth and efficient.

Responsibility

o Promotes, works, and acts in a manner consistent with the mission of Arimau

o Ensures that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs and followed and completed on a timely basis.

o Achieves the company objective in sale, service, quality, ambience, sanitation, cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive and productive working environment.

o Conducts daily roll calls or briefings and inspects the employees grooming and appearance uniform accountabilities of the absolute highest level.

o Ensures that all service staff are always alert, pleasant and ready to serve.

o Monitors budgets and payroll records, and reviews financial transactions to ensure that expenditures are authorized and budgeted.

o Reviews financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.

o Organizes and directs worker training programs, resolve personnel problems, make hiring and termination decisions, and evaluate employee performance.

o Ensures that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.

o Assesses staffing needs and recruit staff.

o Continually strives to develop staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.

o Oversees and ensures that restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis.

o Implements restaurant marketing, advertising and promotional activities and campaigns.

o Attends to complaints so directed to him/her, disposes of such complaints expeditiously and reports any complaints, comments and compliments from guests to management.

o Understands and knows well the power of ENT for customer if necessary like food complaint, service complaint and food delay from more than 15 to 20 minutes.

o Inspects the turnout, department and punctuality of his/her staff and ensures that they are in keeping with the Restaurant’s established standards.

o Monitors and finds out a improve solution for operation.

o Keeps notice on public holiday, coming activity and peak season and inform all staff to get ready for the busy time.

o Ensures that all staff are screen properly when hired and make sure arrange a hostel if needed, prepared uniform, and arrange a senior to guild for first weeks.

o Motivates, educates and develops staff on a continuous basis to achieve an overall maximum of efficiency

o Provides staffs training needs and to conduct such skill / procedural training to upgrade the quality of service.

o Informs management if there is training needs support from management.

o Informs management if there is any machine, equipment or tool is spoiled / need service or repair and other maintenance issue.

o Always lead by an example to all staff and colleagues.

o Takes note in every information from management.

o Follows up and practice every job task assigned from management.

o Have self-discipline, initiative, and leadership ability is a must.

o Have a pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance

o Must be able to handle the pressures of job task in a wide range and find out a solution to settle any incident or accident happen.

Requirements

· Min. 2 – 3 years in managerial position, preferably F&B

· Candidates with richer experiences would be considered for managerial role

· Required language: Bahasa Malaysia and English

· Required Skills: Results-oriented, team player, positive attitude, customer oriented, self-motivated, willingness to learn and has the ability to prioritize

· Able to work on shifts, weekends and public holiday.
