About the role
The Senior Analyst is responsible for leading at least 1 Analyst, maintenance of assigned legal books, including any data entry, posting of ledgers, reconciliation work that are needed to close month end accounts and preparation of month end reporting. Reporting will include month-end closing, reconciliation, PL & BS schedules, quarterly GST reporting, year-end audit related matters and support the team towards achieving Service Quality KPI and strategic objectives of the company.
Key responsibilities
- Lead at least 1 Analyst
- Own and maintain legal books and ensure month-end close is performed accurately and timely based on GSS closing calendar.
- Prepare and process GL journal entries
- Ensure compliance of statutory reporting requirements, group accounting policies and GAPP.
- Own and produce balance sheet reconciliation/schedules.
- Perform bank reconciliation and ensure reconciling items are followed up promptly.
- Perform inter-co reconciliation and ensure reconciling items are followed up promptly.
- Maintain fixed assets register and depreciation schedules.
- Perform quarterly GST workings
- Ensure proper records retention.
- Attend to tax queries arising from internal tax team
- Liaise with auditors and tax consultant on statutory reporting matters.
- Perform backup activities for one’s peer/department as and when required.
- Perform ad hoc assignments from time to time
- Contribute to continuous process improvement
- Support rotation of job, if required
Job Profile
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong accounting background and General Ledger level
- Good knowledge in GST
- Conversant with Tax regulations/ system would be an advantage
- Proficient in MS Excel/Word/Power Point
- Proficient in SUN and Oracle accounting system and COGNOS a plus
- Some extent of leadership skill/potential is required

Required Work Experience
- Minimum 4 years or relevant commercial experiences – maintain General Ledger level, including monthly close and year-end audit finalization
- Strong GL knowledge
- Prior experience in GST reporting is preferred
- Prior experience in Shared Service or fast-pace MNC environment with high volume transactions would be an advantage
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Accountancy or similar

- Excellent command in both spoken and written English
