We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our company. The Quantity Surveyor will play a crucial role in managing project costs and ensuring financial efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent numerical abilities, and a deep understanding of local construction practices and regulations. Key Responsibilities: • To prepare & handle all tender related works including quantity taking-off and checking, computation of costing, computation, submission of Pre-Q/tender documents until submission of tenders and follow up closing of tender & results. • Conduct comprehensive cost analysis to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints and comply with local regulations. • Monitor project expenses, including materials, labor, and subcontractor costs, and identify opportunities for cost optimization. • Assisting superior in final statement of account and resolve the ad-hoc contractual matter. • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to streamline project costs and schedules. • Evaluate contract documents, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies to protect project interests. • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and address any cost-related issues. • Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive prices and ensure timely delivery of materials and services. • Assisting superior in analysis of quotation for comparison and preparation of Letter of Award. • Prepare and evaluate Main Contractor and Sub Contractor’s interim progress application and issue interim payment certificate. • Prepare and submit contractual claims for variation orders, loss & expenses, etc including sub-contract. • Prepare and present progress reports, financial forecasts, and cost variance analysis to senior management. • To perform other duties as assigned or required by the Management. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying. • Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry in Malaysia. • Exposure to Pre and Post Contract Administration & Main Contractor’s environment • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail. • Sound knowledge of local construction regulations, practices, and market conditions in Malaysia. • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
