The Accounts Coordinator reports directly to Supervisor, will assist the Supervisor for daily operational activities which relate to invoice, payment processing and process improvement activities. They would also have multiple interactions with cross functional team including tax, treasury, IFS system consultants, business units and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist to ensure all invoices are complete and accurately captured into the accounting system on a timely basis based on the agreed payment cycle.
  • Assist to perform fund receipt entries in the accounting system.
  • Assist to create new suppliers codes in the accounting system in compliant with Yinson Group’s requirements.
  • Perform day-to-day operation of account payable functions include but not limited to check the group mailbox for incoming invoices, check payment status at banking portal, download payment advice and send to counterparts.
  • Actively involved in process improvement activities on the purchase to payment cycle, including utilising IFS system functionalities, identify system logic issues, potential hiccups and resolving them on a timely basis.
  • Follow-up closely with other departments on outstanding matters
  • Work closely with staff from various departments including project team and tax/treasury/IFS system consultants for any issues.
  • Assist to extract list of bank balances for all entities.
  • Perform reconciliation on outstanding balances with vendors when required.
  • Support any ad-hoc tasks, duties assigned by superior from time to time.

Requirements:
  • A degree/diploma in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
  • Working experience in finance, account receivables or payables is preferred, but not compulsory.
  • Computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to comprehend system behaviour and strive for system automation in improving work processes.
  • Able to express thoughts clearly and logically in both written and verbal communication.
  • Able to work with other functional and cross-functional teams.
  • Self-driven, pro-active, meticulous, good team player, good interpersonal and communication skill, able to multi-task and able to work under tight schedules.
  • Proven integrity and maturity to accept added responsibilities.
  • Experience in IFS accounting system will be an advantage, but not compulsory.
