RESIDENT ARCHITECT

Position: Resident Architect
Project: Renovation at KPJ Ipoh Hospital

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Resident Architect to manage and supervise renovation works at KPJ Ipoh Hospital. This role requires a professional with a strong architectural background, excellent project management skills, and a commitment to ensuring the successful execution of the project within the stipulated timeframe and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site representative for the architectural team, ensuring compliance with design intent and project specifications.
• Oversee and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to plans, schedules, and quality standards.
• Conduct inspections and site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and hospital regulations.
• Address and resolve technical issues or discrepancies on-site in collaboration with contractors and consultants.
• Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders, including the project architect and hospital management.
• Ensure that all materials and workmanship meet the required standards and specifications.
• Liaise with hospital management to minimize disruption to hospital operations during construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (or equivalent) with professional registration (LAM Part II/III).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural supervision, with a preference for healthcare or renovation projects.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, healthcare design standards, and construction practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to the unique challenges of a hospital environment.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
