We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Planner / Operations professional to join our team in the dynamic transportation and logistics industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating, optimizing, and executing transportation and logistics operations to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of goods and services. Key Responsibilities: Transportation Planning: 1. Develop and optimize transportation routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries. 2. Monitor and manage vehicle availability, driver assignments, and load capacity to maximize efficiency. 3. Coordinate with internal teams, customers, and vendors to meet delivery requirements. Logistics Coordination: 1. Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, including inbound and outbound shipments. 2. Ensure accurate documentation for shipping, customs, and compliance. 3. Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and other third-party providers to resolve transportation issues. Operations Management: 1. Monitor daily operations and proactively address potential delays or disruptions. 2. Conduct regular checks on fleet maintenance and ensure compliance with safety regulations. 3. Maintain operational records, including delivery logs, vehicle reports, and incident reports. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: 1.Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. 2. Prepare and present regular operational reports to management. 3. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance overall operational efficiency. Team Collaboration: 1. Work closely with warehouse staff, drivers, and customer service teams to streamline workflows. 2. Train and guide team members on operational procedures and best practices. Problem Solving: 1. Address and resolve transportation and logistical challenges promptly. 2. Manage emergency situations, such as delays, vehicle breakdowns, or rerouting requirements. Key Requirements: Education: Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or operations planning. Skills: 1. Strong analytical and organizational skills. 2. Proficiency in logistics management systems and route planning software. 3. Excellent communication and coordination skills. 4. Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure. Knowledge: 1. Familiarity with transportation regulations, safety standards, and fleet management. 2. Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management is an added advantage.
