Mainframe Technical Specialist

Primary Responsibilities: System programming functions in the installation, configuration, support and tuning of Mainframe Storage, MVS or Z/OS Operating System, and system products such as, CICS, DB, Scheduling & Software Application management tools. Job responsibilities: 1.Supporting z/OS for banking clients' in-house automation scripts using tools like ISPF/TSO, JCL, REXX, OPS/REXX, System Automation, AF/Operator, AMI Ops Automation. 2.Supporting Windows Server environments and Automation Point using HTML, SQL, PowerShell, REXX, BAT Script, Barr/PC, Connect Direct, Ansible, ServiceNow, and GIT. 3. Optimizing the effectiveness of the organization’s existing infrastructure technology. 4.Provide operation support for mainframe application system in production Z/OS LPAR. 5. Perform application software migration and implementation to production LPAR. 6.Update Control-M scheduler according to the requirement of mainframe application batch. 7. Provide 24 x 7 On-call support 8.UAT/Test Print/Deallocation Support 9.PGP Application Support/Maintenance/Monitoring 10.WINTEL Support – Apply Patches on Windows PGP Server Education/Skill/Competence requirements: 1.Degree in Computer Science or related discipline. 2. Min 5-7 years Systems Programming experience in Mainframe Storage, MVS or Z/OS with knowledge on: Skills requirement: 1. DFSMS, DFHSM 2.ACF Routines 3.SMP/E 4. Programming language SAS, REXX and CLIST 5. Storage Management Products 6. VTL 7. DASD 8.Mainframe Utilities Added advantage with the following skills: CICS MQ DB2, IMS Scheduling tools (Control-M, TWS) Software management product (Endevor) Good analytical skills and ability to work under pressure. Good communications skills (Oral and Written). Understanding of banking or financial business is advantageous.
