JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

  • To implement all sales action plans related to his/her market areas as outlined in the Marketing Plan to ensure that goals are achieved.
  • Reports directly to the Director of Sales for all sales related issues.
  • To effectively tap and cover the market according to territory and types of customer, to participate in sales blitz according as allocated by DOSM to solicit business.
  • To build strong rapport with key accounts and provide efficient service to maintain business support.
  • To conduct personal sales calls to minimum of three (03) companies each day in order to establish and maintain a strong base of accounts.
  • To ensure quotations for customers inquiries are prepared and sent promptly and follow up accordingly to close the sales.
  • To conduct hotel inspection for potential customers systematically to promote the hotel facilities.
  • To keep updated market intelligence in monthly sales call reports, on-going feedback on competitors rates, promotions and activities and major events happening in the market.
  • To develop a list of target accounts.
  • To re-enforce and maintain good relations with existing and prospective accounts in order to solicit new business for the hotel.
  • To ensure that all agreements with or requirements of accounts booked are carried out prior to, during and following a group’s stay in the hotel.
  • Participate in formulation of the annual rooms revenue budget and Marketing Plan.
  • Communicate with the Director of Sales of changing market conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation, telephone and direct mail in his/her market areas.
  • Interacts with other sales and departmental within the hotel to ensure for effective cooperative in operation matters.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management or related.
  • Extensive knowledge of sales and proven ability to plan and execute sales target effectively with a strong sense of the detail.
  • Minimum 2 – 5 years’ experience in hospitality with proven sales track record.
  • Capable of creating and implementing sales strategies that will ensure achievement of set goals and target.
  • Experience to handle both room and catering functions.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Possess own transportation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
