Project Manager (Original Classic)

The Project & Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading both the project and maintenance teams to ensure efficient planning, execution, and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure within the company. This role involves overseeing projects from initiation to completion while ensuring that ongoing maintenance activities meet safety, quality, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Lead, mentor, and coordinate the activities of the project and maintenance teams.
• Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team performance to achieve project goals and maintenance standards.
• Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring clear communication between team members, management, and other departments.

Project Planning & Execution

• Oversee project development from planning through to completion, including defining scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Ensure that all projects meet company and regulatory standards and are completed on time and within budget.

Maintenance Operations Management

• Lead the maintenance team in performing routine checks and implementing preventive maintenance strategies for all facilities and equipment.
• Oversee emergency repairs and troubleshoot issues to minimize operational downtime.

Budget & Resource Management

• Develop, monitor, and manage budgets for both project and maintenance activities, optimizing resource allocation.
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effective purchasing.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, enforce standards, and address any non-compliance issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management, maintenance, or facilities management, preferably in the retail or construction sector.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead diverse teams.
• Familiarity with project management software and safety standards in Malaysia.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM7,500.00 - RM9,500.00 per month
