Junior Interior Designer (Fresh Graduate)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. As part of a short-term rental operator and renovation company, you will help design functional and visually appealing interiors that maximize rental value while ensuring client satisfaction. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career designers eager to grow in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Interior Design Development:

- Assist in creating interior design concepts tailored for short-term rental properties, focusing on aesthetics, functionality, and guest appeal.

- Develop space planning, layouts, and mood boards to communicate ideas effectively.

- Select materials, furniture, fixtures, and decor to achieve desired design outcomes within budget constraints.

2. Project Coordination:

- Support the design and renovation team in coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and vendors.

- Conduct site visits to ensure design elements are implemented correctly.

- Monitor timelines to ensure projects are delivered on schedule.

3. Client Interaction:

- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences.

- Present design proposals and gather feedback to refine concepts.

- Maintain strong relationships to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project.

4. Market and Trend Research:

- Stay updated on the latest trends in interior design, particularly for short-term rental properties.

- Propose innovative ideas to enhance the functionality and aesthetic appeal of rental spaces.

5. Support in Renovation Projects:

- Work closely with the renovation team to integrate design elements into renovation plans.

- Assist in ensuring quality control and adherence to design specifications during renovation work.

Qualifications:

- A diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools.

- Creative flair with a strong eye for detail and aesthetics.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a dynamic work environment.

- Knowledge of materials, finishes, and furniture sourcing is a plus (not mandatory).
