Job Description:

The Stock Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing the inventory of products within the organization. This role involves monitoring stock levels, maintaining accurate records, ensuring timely stock replenishment, and implementing procedures to reduce inventory discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demands.

Track the movement of stock to ensure availability and accuracy.

Regularly update the stock inventory system with accurate information.

Perform periodic stock counts (e.g., weekly, monthly) and reconcile any discrepancies.

Stock Replenishment:

Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure stock is replenished in a timely manner.

Prepare stock orders based on forecasted needs and current stock levels.

Stock Movement:

Record all stock transactions, including stock received, issued, and adjustments.

Ensure stock rotation (First In, First Out - FIFO) is properly followed.

Ensure proper storage conditions and monitor the condition of stored items.

Reporting:

Prepare and provide regular inventory reports to management.

Highlight any low stock items or potential stock-outs and provide recommendations.

Report on discrepancies found during stock audits or counts.

Quality Control:

Ensure that stock is in good condition and report any damaged goods.

Oversee proper packaging, labelling, and storing of items.

Collaboration:

Work closely with marketing, finance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.

Assist in planning stock-related strategies based on sales trends and forecasts.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations on stock handling.

Adhere to health and safety standards in managing stock and warehouses.

Job Requirements:

Education: Minimum Diploma, or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.

Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in stock control, inventory management, or a similar role (experience in retail or warehouse settings is a plus).

Skills and Competencies:

Proficient in using inventory management software (e.g., Anchanto WMS, Xilnex, or any relevant system).

Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to analyse inventory reports and trends.

Good communication skills to liaise with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.

Familiarity with stock control procedures and industry best practices.

Personal Attributes:

Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Adaptability in a fast-paced working environment.

Languages:

Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written) is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
