Finance Business Partner to VP Finance International and SVP for the International Business Unit, liaising and advising accordingly, specifically setting the strategic direction of the function as well as ensuring underlying reporting processes are robust and accurate.
What will you be doing?
The role involves preparing and reviewing monthly financial performance reports, including revenue and expense estimates and monthly MFR/MOR reports. It also entails leading budgeting and forecasting processes for the International Business Unit, ensuring alignment with group requirements, and collaborating with the VP Finance and International Business Unit Leadership Team to achieve financial targets. Supervising progress against annual budgets and strategic plans, identifying risks, and recommending remedial actions are key responsibilities.
As the focal point for the International Business Unit, the role requires providing ad-hoc analysis, consolidating financials for strategic plans, budgets, forecasts, and actuals, and ensuring consistent and meticulous financial analysis for all key decisions and projects. This includes delivering high-quality reports to the International Business Unit Leadership Team and supporting global FP&A agendas, such as management improvement and control standardization.
The position also involves leading the FP&A team's delivery within the International Business Unit, making value-driven decisions to prioritize activities efficiently, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. This requires balancing immediate and long-term financial objectives while ensuring quality and efficiency in financial planning and analysis.
What will you need to be successful?
The ideal candidate should have a Degree in a relevant field and hold a professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CIMA, or ACCA. With over 10 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a Senior Finance or Director role, the candidate is encouraged to have a proven track record in supporting senior leadership teams, developing strategic plans, and leading budgets and forecasts. Expertise in a commercial or manufacturing financial environment with cost control responsibilities and a proven understanding of systems like HYPERION HFM/COGNOS is important. Familiarity with tax regulations, intercompany charging, and transfer pricing will also be helpful.
Key proficiencies include significant analytical and numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail, as well as the ability to establish long-term relationships with diverse stakeholders. The candidate must demonstrate robust leadership skills to lead, mentor, and empower teams, and possess expertise in transformation, project, and change management within a Finance Business Partnering environment. Strategic thinking, a dedication to continuous improvement, and the ability to independently prioritize multiple initiatives while deriving actionable insights from sophisticated data are crucial.
Additionally, the role requires proficiency in English (C1+ level) and excellent communication skills to influence and engage at a senior level. The ideal candidate will exhibit a high-performing culture—being focused, accountable, and proactive—and possess the confidence to challenge business decisions when vital.
