Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced a Construction Liaison Officer serves as a vital link between construction teams, clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders. While specific duties can vary based on project requirements and location, the core responsibilities typically include:

  • Problem Resolution: Identifying potential issues or delays and working proactively to resolve them, minimizing project disruptions.

Requirements:

1. Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Diploma in Construction Management or related fields may be acceptable for entry-level roles or smaller projects.

2. Professional Experience:

  • Experience in Construction: A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in construction or a related field, particularly in roles involving coordination, permits, or regulatory compliance.
  • Project Management Experience: Some familiarity with project management principles or hands-on project coordination is helpful.
  • Experience in Liaison: Previous experience working with multiple stakeholders, such as government agencies, contractors, clients, and suppliers, is a significant plus.

3. Certifications and Licenses (optional but advantageous):

  • Construction Safety Training: Certifications like OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) or local safety training programs (depending on location) can be helpful.
  • Project Management Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar credentials may be beneficial.
  • Relevant Local Certifications: In Malaysia, for example, certifications like CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board) registration or recognized safety training would be advantageous.

4. Key Skills:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, from construction workers to government agencies.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Keeping track of documentation, timelines, and various permits and ensuring that the project stays on track.
