Job Description
- Monitor and manage the credit control processes, ensuring company policy and procedure adherence.
- Evaluate and assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers through financial analysis, credit checks, and payment history review.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and address any payment delays or discrepancies promptly.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize late or non-payment by customers, including initiating collection actions and negotiating payment plans.
- Initiate legal action against debtors who evade or refuse repayment according to the terms and conditions
- Identify potential credit risk & create awareness to sales team and management with proposal.
- Provide administrative support to the Country General Manager and enhance office effectiveness
- Maintenance and review of Legal Agreements
- Review all documentation with legal implications for the company before signing and implementing.
- Preparation of compliance documentation with relevant constitutive documents for statutory, legal, and regulatory purposes.
- Perform legal and background research when requested
- Designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the organization, which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur
- Compliance risk assessments, performance monitoring, and reporting
Required skills and qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of working experience will be an added advantage
- Certified lawyer in Malaysia
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial information, perform risk assessments, and make informed credit decisions.
- Ability to implement accounting principles and practices effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Good understanding of the legal complexities of loans, payment plans, and interest rates.
- Candidates who are fluent in Mandarin are preferred as required to interact with Mandarin-speaking clients
