JOB SUMMARY:
Oversee the overall Plastic Injection Molding Quality Management System (PIM-QMS) to ensure product quality throughout the entire process, from incoming materials (IQC) to in-process control (IPQC), and outgoing quality control (OQC). Effectively manage quality risks and customer satisfaction while supporting a diverse customer base. This role reports directly to the Group Quality Director with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Site General Manager or Business Unit Leader
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Assurance and Control
- Audit and Improvement: Conducting regular audits, analyzing results, and implementing corrective actions to enhance product quality and system efficiency;
- System Monitoring: Establishing and implementing a robust monitoring system to detect system failures early and prevent quality issues;
- Quality Management System (QMS): Overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS to ensure compliance with internal and external standards;
Strategic Planning and Leadership
- Capacity Planning: Developing and implementing strategies for optimal resource allocation and capacity utilization for Quality team;
- Team Management: Building and leading a high-performing quality team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities;
- KPI Development: Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators to measure team and department performance;
- Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
Continuous Improvement
- Problem-Solving: Identifying and addressing quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions;
- Process Optimization: Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness;
- Training and Development: Providing training and development opportunities for the team to improve skills and knowledge;
Compliance and Risk Management
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards;
- Risk Assessment: Identifying and mitigating potential risks to product quality and business operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred;
- Membership of an industry related professional body would be advantageous;
- Significant experience in a high/low mix volume manufacturing environment;
- Preferably EMC, or OEM environment;
- Strong knowledge of the latest Quality tools and techniques;
- Quality Management System Auditing experience and managing audit programs.
