Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, perform regular cycle counts, and assist in periodic inventory audits to ensure data integrity.
- Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents against purchase orders, inspect for damage, and ensure correct quantities are received.
- Storage and Organization: Store materials in designated areas, ensure items are labeled, and organize the storeroom to optimize space and accessibility.
- Issuing Supplies: Distribute materials and supplies to internal departments or clients as required, following established procedures for tracking and documentation.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate paperwork, such as stock records, requisition forms, and receiving reports, to support inventory management.
- Order Fulfillment: Prepare and pack orders for dispatch, coordinate with logistics to ensure timely deliveries, and confirm outgoing shipments are accurate.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure the storeroom is clean, organized, and compliant with safety and health regulations. Report any safety hazards or potential issues to the supervisor.
- Record Keeping: Utilize inventory management software to update records, log transactions, and generate reports as requested by management.
- Stock Replenishment: Monitor stock levels, and notify the purchasing department when reordering is necessary to prevent shortages.
- Minimum education is Diploma and additional certification in inventory management or logistics is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a warehouse, manufacturing, or retail environment.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform accurate data entry.
- Good physical stamina, with the ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
- Able to accurately count, measure, and inspect materials.
- Takes initiative in identifying stock discrepancies or potential shortages.
- Willing to collaborate with warehouse, production, and sales teams to meet inventory needs.
