Key Responsibilities
- Department Management
- Oversee service operations, including scheduling, repairs, and maintenance.
- Ensure the workshop operates efficiently and achieves revenue and profitability targets.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service turnaround time, customer retention, and technician productivity.
- Customer Relations
- Maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction by addressing complaints and ensuring prompt resolution.
- Build strong relationships with customers and promote service loyalty programs.
- Staff Supervision
- Lead, train, and develop the service team, including advisors, technicians, and support staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans when necessary.
- Recruit and onboard new team members as required.
- Financial Management
- Develop and manage the service department's budget.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure accurate invoicing and efficient payment collection.
- Compliance and Safety
- Ensure the workshop complies with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain equipment and facilities to meet operational standards.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer and warranty policies.
- Operational Excellence
- Implement and optimize processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of required components.
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate best practices.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Automotive Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a service department, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in service management software and reporting tools.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
