SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

- To improve productivity and efficiency and reduce costs while securing high quality material for their company. - To keep track of logistics and update the company’s inventory. They analyze operational performance and resolve issues. - Analyzing supply chain data and performance and create the company’s supply chain strategy - Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues - Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes - Resolve issues that come up (e.g. delays in delivery, accidents) - Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth - Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts) - Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards and improve the manufacturing technical. - To work with the managers of different departments/plants administrative staff to implement company policies. - To coordinate with the financial, sales, procurement and logistic departments to establish budgets and make sure those production goals are met. - Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations or law. - Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load. - Appraise vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits and measurements. - Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors and freight forwarders. - Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirement. - Monitor forecast and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
