Key Responsibilities:-

Maintenance & Repairs:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire replacements, brake servicing, and chain adjustments.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and suspension components.
  • Overhaul engines and transmissions, ensuring that all parts are functioning properly and meet manufacturer specifications.

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:

  • Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to identify issues within a motorcycle's system.
  • Conduct detailed inspections and assessments of motorcycles to determine the root cause of problems.
  • Provide expert recommendations for repairs or parts replacements based on diagnostic findings.

Customer Service & Communication:

  • Communicate with customers to understand their motorcycle issues, provide accurate service estimates, and explain the scope of repairs needed.
  • Offer professional advice on preventive maintenance, upgrades, and modifications to enhance the performance and longevity of the motorcycle.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely updates on the status of their vehicle and addressing concerns promptly.

Parts Management:

  • Order and replace parts as necessary, ensuring that the correct and high-quality components are used.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of parts, tools, and equipment to ensure timely availability.
  • Ensure all replaced parts are properly disposed of in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.

Quality Control & Safety:

  • Conduct thorough tests after repairs and maintenance to ensure the motorcycle is operating as expected and is safe for use.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines and industry standards to ensure all repairs and services meet high-quality standards.

Documentation & Record-Keeping:

  • Complete accurate service reports, including details of repairs, parts used, and labor performed.
  • Maintain records of all services provided, ensuring proper documentation for warranty and future reference.
  • Accurately log work hours and report on the progress of ongoing repairs.

Training & Development:

  • Stay current with new motorcycle technologies, industry trends, and repair techniques by attending training sessions and workshops.
  • Continuously improve knowledge of motorcycle systems, models, and tools.
  • Mentor and support junior technicians, assisting with technical queries and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification in motorcycle repair or mechanical engineering is preferred).
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience working as a motorcycle technician or mechanic, preferably in a dealership or specialized service center.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of motorcycle systems (engine, transmission, suspension, electrical, etc.) and repair techniques.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and interpreting diagnostic data.
  • Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to identify problems and ensure that repairs are completed to a high standard of quality.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy parts and working in awkward positions.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment while also being capable of handling tasks independently.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and solve complex motorcycle issues.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
