The job scope of a human resources (HR) assistant includes a variety of tasks, such as:

  • Recruitment: Assisting with the recruitment process, including identifying candidates, conducting interviews, and issuing employment contracts
  • Onboarding: Assist orientation and training sessions for new employees
  • Employee records: Maintaining employee records, including attendance, leaves, and compensation and benefits
  • Payroll: Assisting with payroll processing and documentation
  • Policies and procedures: Assisting the HR manager with formulating policies and procedures, and communicating updates to employees
  • Employee communication: Assist and record the employee questions and complaints, and ensuring smooth communication with employees
  • HR events: Overseeing HR events and meetings, and coordinating management-employee communications
  • Employee welfare: Helping plan programs and processes designed to improve employee welfare
  • Employee satisfaction: Conducting surveys to determine employee satisfaction, and analyzing results
  • HR best practices: Keeping up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices
  • Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)
  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes
  • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc)
  • Communicate with public services when necessary
  • Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
  • Assist our recruiters to source candidates and update our database

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,000.00 per month

Education:

  • Diploma/Advanced Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Human resources: 2 years (Preferred)
