Senior Design Engineer

1. Examine customer-provided drawings for completeness, accuracy, and manufacturability 2. Modify design to meet fabrication requirements and dimensions, ensuring that customer specification align with internal production standards and capabilities. 3. Ensure proper adjustment, scaling, orientation, and alignment of parts for cutting, bending and assembly. 4. Create detailed designs and 3D CAD models for related components, assemblies, and products 5. Develop prototypes and oversee the production of test parts 6. Optimize design for manufacturability, considering material usage, production time, and cost-efficiency. 7. Collaborate and communicate with customers to understand and meet their design requirements and specification. 8. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members 9. Review and approve engineering drawings, models, and documentation for accuracy and compliance. 10. Develop and enforce design standards, procedures, and best practices. 11. Work closely with production, quality, and procurement team to ensure seamless transition from design to manufacturing 12. Coordinate with clients to address design modifications and ensure satisfaction 13. Conduct failure analysis and troubleshoot design-related manufacturing issues. 14. Lead multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met. 15. Update and maintain accurate records of revised drawings and design files 16. Create detailed and clear documentation for production use 17. Suggest process improvement and standardization for recurring challenges or inefficiencies.
