Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including posting journal entries, reconciliations, and reviewing trial balances.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Oversee daily general accounting tasks, including fixed asset management, intercompany transactions, and accruals.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, corporate policies, and international financial reporting standards (IFRS/MFRS).
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Analyze and provide insights into financial data to aid management in decision-making.
- Drive process improvements in the GL function to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, particularly in manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of local accounting standards and international financial reporting standards (IFRS/MFRS).
- Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
