Key Responsibilities Student Support Provide a safe, judgment-free space for students to share their thoughts, feelings, and concerns. Counsel students individually and in groups, tackling issues such as academic stress, personal relationships, and self-confidence. Design workshops on life skills, stress management, and emotional intelligence to help students thrive. Academic Guidance Collaborate with teachers to identify and support students facing academic challenges. Assist students in setting achievable goals and crafting action plans for their growth. Guide senior students on course selections, career pathways, and higher education opportunities. Parental and Teacher Collaboration Act as a bridge between parents and teachers, fostering mutual understanding to support the child’s growth. Conduct sessions with parents to address concerns and build strategies to support students at home. Organize professional development for teachers on mental health awareness and classroom strategies. School Well-Being Initiatives Plan and lead well-being activities like mindfulness sessions, team-building games, and self-care workshops. Celebrate diversity and inclusivity, creating campaigns that promote respect and kindness. Be the first responder to crises, providing immediate support and referrals when necessary. and Skills Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related fields. A genuine passion for working with young people. Excellent communication and empathy—students should feel heard, valued, and inspired. Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks without losing the human touch. Experience in schools is a bonus, but a vibrant personality and a can-do attitude are essential.
