Purpose

  • Will assist to drive (through data management) the development and enhancement of the P2P process which promotes best practice procurement through building effective procurement planning, strategic procurement, and category management capability to achieve procurement excellence and cost savings.
  • Responsible for obtaining, analyzing, and maintaining procurement data and that it is continuously being monitored, analyzed, and reported. The goals are to keep track of the compliance of GPS Operation and other interrelated Departments and to also increase the rate of productivity by reducing bottlenecks, and drive improvement opportunities.

Interrelations

  • Reports to Senior Support Services Specialist – Data Analytics & Automation
  • Coordinate with Vice President of Procurement, Head of Procurement, Procurement Manager(s), Category Manager(s), and functional Managers
  • Works collaboratively across GPS Team, Vessels, Technical / Vessel Managers and Vessel Accounting to analyze and process data to provide management and performance reports in the required formats to support the organization’s goals

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Responsibilities include collecting, extracting, organizing, validating, and analyzing diverse data from internal data source e.g Bassnet, Eyeshare, SAP and external data sources, summarizing findings, and developing meaningful and actionable, reports and documents.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to visualize data utilizing Power BI or Tableau.
  • Design and create automated workflow in Power Automate, required for process simplification.
  • Collect and analyze data for departmental KPIs and produce as directed. For example

-Deliver Operational Procurement KPIs agreed with Head of Operational Procurement

-Deliver Operational KPI for Subscription and Invoices Team

  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot Service Now Incident tickets to resolution; ensuring that SLAs are met.
  • Working with Data Platform team on data integrity issues and new requirement by business
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure data presented is accurate, relevant and easy to understand
  • Conduct a continuous review of reports and identify opportunities for improvements to minimize redundant reporting and development of a single source of truth where possible.

Accountabilities

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete reporting on strategic plans, project status, and GPS KPIs.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in Computer Science, Applied Math, Statistics,
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in related field
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau is a must
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, such as SharePoint, Power Automate
  • Solid understanding of SQL and experience in querying relational databases
  • Prior experience in Python for data analysis and designing automation script is advantageous
  • Highly proficient in Advanced Excel functions
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

All business systems used within Procurement, including BASSnet, EyeShare, SAP, Simdojo, Tableau Power BI, Excel

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,800.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
