Facilities Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for operating and maintaining chillers, which are large refrigeration systems used in a variety of industries, such as Data Center or equivalent 24x7 operating cooling system and HVAC. Duties include monitoring and controlling temperatures and pressures, troubleshooting and repairing issues, and maintaining records. To operate and maintain chillers, cooling towers, and other associated equipment includes buffer, expansion and makeup tanks systems to provide chilled water for air conditioning and process cooling manually or via BMS/CPOS system. This includes monitoring and adjusting equipment to maintain correct temperature, pressure, flow, and other operating parameters, as well as troubleshooting and repairing equipment when necessary. The Operator also assists in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, performs preventative maintenance, and maintains accurate records. To monitor the equipment, make necessary adjustments, and complete preventive maintenance on the chillers, including checking and replacing parts. Also troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, as well as identify and document root causes of any problems. Additional duties include verifying proper system operation, completing daily and weekly logs, and assisting with the installation of new equipment. The Operator will also ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations. To standby at site for activities such as break fix, emergency operations, maintenance operations and other activities related to the data centre. To ensure the Data Hall is operating as agreed SLAs with the customers To repair, service and maintain CRAC, pumps and other mechanical equipment REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in data center facilities management or relevant experience in HVAC, electrical, or critical infrastructure systems. Preferably knowledgeable and having skills in operation and maintenance of fire protection and fire fighting system. Relevant certifications such as Data Center Facilities Operations (DCFO), Certified Data Center Technician (CDCT), or similar are advantageous.
