Job Summary
The Analyst, Product Manager is an entry level in product management practice in ELC and will act as Product Owner in establishing, prioritizing, and accepting the work developed by a team of Scrum Developers in order to ensure that the requirements for what is being developed are correct, as well as to ensure that the most value is delivered.
The Analyst, Product Manager will be working on delivering human centered experiences that support the activities of its users.
The Analyst, Product Manager will gather feature requests, schedule releases and coordinate sprints. He/she should be able to identify business and other stakeholder needs, guide customers and stakeholders to understand the business value of the work planned for development, as well as interact directly and frequently with cross-functional teams of Scrum Developers to manage product releases.
This position requires knowledge of the SAP FICO configuration capabilities including understanding of the underlying business processes across the financial domain. The candidate should be familiar with best business practices in designated area and the ideal candidate should have prior CPG experience working for a large multi-national company. Experience with local business practices including legal and statutory requirements that impact the finance process. Strong communications skills and ability to function in a matrix organization working effectively with global core team and local affiliates is required. Must be able to partner with affiliate including senior financial leadership team at the affiliate on the design and integration of new capabilities
Responsibilities
Owning the product content
Working with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them in requirements in the Finance organization.
Researching and analyzing the market and potential users to ensure accuracy of the current product.
Serving as the voice of the stakeholder
Identifying and assisting stakeholders to understand the value proposition of the product.
Representing the Scrum Software Development Teams in front of stakeholders.
Managing the product
Solving product-related problems, making product development decisions, performing analysis of trade-offs.
Having a basic understanding of the end-to-end customer experience, including knowledge of dependencies that occur with product integrations.
Being accountable for the developed products and/or services delivered and communicating the plans and plan changes to business partners as often as needed.
Developing lightweight Scrum artifacts with sufficient detail for product features so they are clearly understood by the development teams.
Working closely with product management and leadership to only create products that fit within the company’s current portfolio.
Developing and maintaining an appropriately prioritized backlog of PBIs for implementation.
General Accountabilities
Being a full member of the Scrum/ScrumBan/Kanban team, available to the team daily and attending all Scrum events.
Following competitors, the industry, new technology opportunities and other new trends.
Increasing an understanding of Agile practices across the organization at all levels.
Validate the SAP fit to Estee Lauder business requirements. Identify workarounds and business process changes if necessary.
Determine how business reporting requirements will be supported.
Partner with the business and Global team to implement and solve new localization and statutory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance or related disciplines
3-5 years SAP experience including deep business process knowledge across the Finance space
Product Management Fundamentals: Knowledge of roadmap planning, stakeholder engagement, iterative development, and agile practices.
Previous experience working with a global template for large multinational organization.
Poses functional knowledge of FICO functionality including GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, and Treasury, COPA
Knowledge of ASAP and waterfall methodologies as well as Hybrid - Agile methodologies
Knowledge of SAP best practices and CPG template including integration with DTC (Direct to Consumer)
Demonstrated capability to graphically document workflow, roles and responsibilities at a functional (system user) level.
JIRA and Confluence: Basic understanding of JIRA for task management and Confluence for documentation and collaboration.
Nice to Have: prior business experience supporting the Finance function
