We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with hands-on experience to design and deploy data-driven solutions for our used car marketplace. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building and optimizing models related to dynamic pricing and/or supply chain management.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Data Collection and Management: Gather and preprocess data from various sources, ensuring its quality and reliability through cleaning and validation processes.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets using statistical methods and machine learning techniques to identify trends, patterns, and relationships that inform business strategies.
  • Model Development: Design, implement, and refine predictive models and algorithms to address specific business challenges and improve decision-making processes.
  • Visualization and Reporting: Create visualizations and reports to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders, presenting complex data in an understandable manner.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business analysts, to integrate data-driven solutions into existing workflows.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of models post-deployment, conducting regular evaluations and adjustments as necessary to maintain accuracy.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and industry trends to apply innovative techniques in projects

What You Need to Succeed

  • A Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field with at least 4 years of relevant hands-on experience related to supply chain optimisation and / or dynamic pricing.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role, with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating data-driven solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R; experience with SQL for data manipulation; familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn). Experience with cloud platforms (AWAWS, GCP, P, Azure) for model training and deployment.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach to addressing business challenges using data.
