Writing materials
Oversee and monitor the teachers’ outline/idea map to make sure they are suitable for the student's level of maturity and understanding
Check if they provide supplementary materials that are related to the type of writing
Advise them on improvements that can be made to their teaching methods
Classwork
to ensure all work in class has been checked properly, including the students’ homework
Attendance
liaise with the manager to check if the teachers are on time
check the online student’s attendance through messaging apps.
Special lessons
select materials for Checkpoint every month pick dates for these lessons (Checkpoint, Anthology and Narrative)
Student Levels
Assess the writing, reading and vocabulary levels of new students appropriately.
Regularly ask the teachers’ opinion about student performance and decide who is suitable to level up.
Monitor the students' progress individually, especially those with a huge gap between their grades in school and their grades in Elite.
Book Assignment
Cross-check students’ book records as well as their current performance before deciding on the next book for them.
Liaise with the support team to ensure the materials are correctly printed on time.
Schedule
Manage and produce the teachers’ weekly schedule in Microsoft Excel
Solve any issues due to the student or the teacher’s absence. In this case, find a replacement or schedule the class later (if a replacement is not possible).
Feedback
Liaise with teachers to ensure high quality they write high quality individualized feedback.
Check the feedback before sending it to the parents.
Send the feedback to the parents.
Ad Hoc
Calling out the students' names after their group class ended
Remind teachers that all students must be seated in their classroom before their names are called out
Repeat two or three times when calling out the names
Count the number of the students in each van before letting them out (must be led by somebody from the support team)
Remind everyone to comply with the SOP
Check the size of the classroom whether it will fit the students. Check the cleanliness and defects in the classroom once in a while
*** Business Management ***
Drop-off & Pick-up (D&P)
Create a schedule for D&P.
Relay any D&P schedule changes to parents promptly.
Parent Relations
Provide customer service to parents on all inquiries through Whatsapp, Line, Kakaotalk etc.
Relay any comments from the teachers and handle complaints from the parents.
Update parents about any new policy, SOP, holidays and the student’s schedule.
New Teacher’s Training
Onboard new teachers and perform training to ensure their familiarity with our teaching system.
Provide background information about the students to which they are assigned.
New Students
Consult with interested parents and onboard new students.
Oversee level test for new students.
Consult with parents after the level test to explain test results.
Place new students in classes of the appropriate level and arrange the class schedule for them
Ad-hoc
Any other ad-hoc work related to education administration
