Manager - Project Management
Key Responsibilities
i. Project Management and Coordination
a) Plan and lead engineering activities across all disciplines (e.g., process, mechanical, piping, civil, electrical, instrumentation).
b) Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with milestones and deadlines.
c) Coordinate and interface with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and progress tracking.
d) Chair regular progress meetings and resolve inter-disciplinary issues to keep the project on track.
ii. Technical Oversight and Quality Assurance
a) Review and approve technical documents such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and engineering specifications.
b) Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with regulatory standards, client requirements, and industry best practices (e.g., PETRONAS Technical Standards, API, ASME).
c) Conduct Inter-Discipline Checks (IDC) to identify and rectify inconsistencies across engineering disciplines.
d) Perform value engineering assessments to optimize project cost and performance without compromising safety or quality.
e) Review and Monitor vendor MDRL based on engineering and project needs.
f) Coordinate with vendors for inspections, factory acceptance tests (FATs), and delivery timelines (if required).
iii. Resource and Team Management
a) Assign tasks and responsibilities to the engineering team based on expertise and project needs.
b) Monitor team performance and provide mentorship, guidance, and training to develop team competencies.
c) Resolve conflicts and foster a collaborative environment among project stakeholders.
iv. Risk Management and Compliance
a) Identify potential risks related to engineering design, construction, and operations.
b) Develop mitigation plans and ensure risk management strategies are implemented throughout the project lifecycle.
c) Ensure strict adherence to Malaysian regulatory requirements, including DOSH, DOE, and other local authority guidelines.
v. Client and Stakeholder Engagement
a) Act as the primary point of contact for engineering-related matters with clients and stakeholders includes reporting.
b) Provide regular updates and technical presentations to clients, including reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
c) Respond to client inquiries and ensure all requirements are accurately captured and implemented.
vi. Support Proposal/Procurement Department
a) Support the Proposal/Procurement team in evaluating ITB and provide engineering manhours.
vii. Collaboration with Cost Control
a) Work with the cost control team to manage engineering manhours and manpower costs.
b) Monitor resource usage, track variances, and optimize costs.
c) Support accurate cost estimation and forecasting for engineering tasks.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: From RM12,000.00 per month
