General Job Description

Establish, implement and maintain a quality system that meets the goal of the company’s quality policy. Manages the system as a team leader with managers from the other functions within the company. Establishes methods and methodologies for system repair and improvements. Manages the quality staff.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to all Company Policy & Procedures and Department Procedures.
  • Brings to the attention of management, problems which affect the production due to quality and effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Develop and/or manage a QMS to support management and customer. This includes the maintenance of the following:

a. Development and distribution of the Quality Assurance Manual, Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms and Flow Diagrams.
b. Development and dissemination of customer and project/product plans.
c. First articles and dimensional measurement issues.
d. Training records in conjunction with the Human Resource Department.
e. Defect tracking and reporting system.
f. Corrective Action System and reporting.
g. Internal Assessment System and reporting.
h. Management Review and Management Actions System and reporting.
i. Other customer certification issues.
j. Setting up and continuously improve Quality control to improve and maintain healthy site DPPM(external) and yield(internal)

  • Work with staff members and their subordinates to address implementation issues relative to the Quality Management System.
  • Manage and report metrics that communicates status of the Quality Management System and MASS position with its customers. The minimum requirements are to present defects and defect reports from customers.
  • Present the Quality Management System to customers and potential customers upon request from sales or from customers through their supplier survey process.
  • Maintain files on and direct the investigation of customer complaints, problems and issues to determine root cause and corrective action.
  • Follow up on any Certification Issues and/or regulatory requirements as required.
  • Acts as liaison to departments on Quality practices such as assisting departments in the development of process specifications and developing measurable standards of quality and quantity via statistical methods.
  • Will help develop and work within the budget confines.
  • Makes a plan for the month to include, but not limited to work schedules, list of supplies needed, team meetings, and safety awareness.
  • Conducts internal and external surveys.
  • Develop methods to assure Customer Requirements are met.
  • Ensure direct material suppliers are meeting MASS standards.
  • Perform yearly employee performance reviews.
  • Keep accurate performance records on department employees.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and developing of all staff members.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment that promotes a team atmosphere.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Statistical Process Control knowledge and skills, needing a high level of experience.
  • PC proficiency for data analysis and Multi-media generation, including databases, Excel, and Word.
  • Auditing, inspection and analysis skills.
  • Ability to generate Corrective and Preventative Actions.
  • Ability to make presentations and interface with customer representatives.
  • Metal fabrication knowledge.
  • Ability to provide leadership.
  • Meets deadlines and goals established by the leaders of the company.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Work under pressure.
  • Excellent employee relations skills and organizational development.
  • Must have excellent reading comprehension, mathematical, writing, and verbal skills.
  • Ability to work day/swing/night shift as required.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or related field experience in the field as required.
  • Five years of total quality management experience.
  • Five years of managerial/supervisory and budgetary experience.

Pay: From RM8,500.00 per month
