With a focus on innovation, quality, and affordability, our brand is expanding rapidly and making an impact in the industry. We’re looking for an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team and help drive our financial growth, manage risk, and support our mission of delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Position Overview:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company. You will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy, ensuring the company remains financially robust, and providing the data-driven insights necessary to support our aggressive growth plans. The ideal candidate will be both a strategic thinker and an operational leader, with a proven track record in financial management in a fast-paced, consumer-focused industry such as food and beverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy & Planning:

Lead the development and execution of the company’s financial strategy, including long-term financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and capital allocation. Align financial strategy with the company’s growth and operational goals.

  • Financial Leadership:

Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, tax planning, and cash management. Ensure sound financial practices, internal controls, and risk management policies are in place.

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Provide regular financial reports and updates to the CEO and Board of Directors. Analyse financial performance, identify key financial trends, and offer actionable insights to drive informed business decisions.

  • Capital Management & Fundraising:

Manage the company’s capital structure, funding strategies, and investor relations. Lead efforts in raising capital as needed to support growth and expansion (e.g., debt, equity, or venture funding).

  • Cost Control & Profitability:

Establish financial metrics and KPIs to monitor performance across all aspects of the business. Work with operational teams to identify and drive cost-saving opportunities, improve profitability, and optimise financial performance.

  • Cash Flow Management:

Oversee working capital, cash flow management, and liquidity to ensure the business operates efficiently and remains financially stable, particularly in a high-growth startup environment.

  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)/Partnerships:

Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, or strategic investments. Provide financial due diligence and support integration processes, when applicable.

  • Team Development & Leadership:

Lead and develop the finance team, creating a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accuracy, and results. Mentor junior staff and foster professional growth within the department.

  • Risk Management & Compliance:

Ensure that the company’s financial practices comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Implement a risk management framework to mitigate financial, operational, and strategic risks.

  • Collaboration with Executive Team:

Partner closely with the CEO, COO, and other senior leaders to provide financial insights that influence strategic decisions. Contribute to the overall direction of the company, ensuring financial goals align with broader business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or CPA is highly preferred.

  • Experience:

10+ years of experience in senior financial management roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position (e.g., Director, VP, CFO). Experience in the food and beverage industry or a fast-growing consumer-facing business is strongly preferred.

  • Skills:
  • Deep understanding of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulations.
  • Proven experience in strategic financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Strong background in managing financial systems, software, and reporting tools.
  • Experience in fundraising, investor relations, and managing financial reporting to boards.
  • High-level understanding of corporate finance, tax strategies, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.

Personal Attributes:

  • A results-driven leader with the ability to navigate a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial strategy to broader company goals.
  • A high level of integrity, transparency, and ethical standards.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working in a rapidly evolving environment.

Why Join Us:
