PLANNER
Job Scope of Prod Planner
1. Production Scheduling & Planning
· Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, raw material availability, and production capacity.
· Prioritize work orders to ensure timely completion and delivery (On Time Delivery).
· Adjust schedules in response to unexpected delays, machine breakdowns, or material shortages.
2. Inventory & Material Management
· Coordinate with procurement/purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure sufficient raw materials and components are available.
· Monitor WIP & FG inventory levels and suggest replenishment strategies to prevent shortages or overstocking.
· Work with Purchasing on weekly material consumption to monitor actual material usage vs raw material delivery.
3. Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams
· Communicate with production, procurement, logistics, and sales teams to align production plans with business goals.
· Work with Sales & marketing team on forecast orders with buffer plans.
· Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure products meet company and industry standards.
· Work with maintenance teams to plan downtime and preventive maintenance schedules.
4. Process Optimization & Efficiency
· Identify bottlenecks in the production process and implement solutions to improve workflow.
· Analyze production data and recommend efficiency improvements.
· To work with Purchasing on MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to optimize scheduling.
5. Reporting & Documentation
· Prepare reports on production performance, efficiency, and adherence to schedules.
· Maintain accurate records of production plans, inventory levels, and any deviations from schedules.
· Analyze data for continuous improvement and cost reduction.
6. Compliance & Safety
· Ensure that production planning adheres to safety regulations and company policies.
· Support audits (ISO/Sirim Product Certification & etc) and regulatory compliance processes.
Key Skills & Tools:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficiency in ERP/MRP/MES software (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
· Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management
· Excellent communication and coordination abilities
· Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Requirements
· Degree or Diploma in any discipline
· 3-5 years Working in manufacturing environment as the planner.
· Written & fluent in English, Bahasa. Mandarin will be an added advantage.
· Experience in batch control manufacturing will be an added advantage.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: RM1,979.74 - RM5,867.60 per month
