Job Summary The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall management and maintenance of hospital infrastructure, equipment, and support services, ensuring they meet Malaysian healthcare regulations and international standards. The role involves ensuring patient safety, operational efficiency, compliance with local regulatory bodies (e.g., Ministry of Health Malaysia, JKKP, BOMBA), and sustainable practices in the healthcare environment. Education & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field. • Relevant certifications such as Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), Malaysian Energy Professional certifications (e.g., GBI), or similar qualifications are an advantage. Experience • 5-8 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 2-3 years in a healthcare or hospital environment in Malaysia. • Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams and contractors. Knowledge & Skills • Strong knowledge of Malaysian healthcare standards (e.g., MSQH accreditation) and regulatory requirements. • Familiarity with managing hospital-specific infrastructure, such as medical gas systems, backup generators, and HVAC systems. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage crises effectively. • Excellent communication skills to interact with hospital staff, government agencies, and external stakeholders.
