Safety Coordinator

Safety Policy Development: Develop, implement, and update safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Ensure safety standards align with industry best practices. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards. Develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure workplace safety. Training and Education: Organize and conduct safety training sessions for employees and management. Ensure staff understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant safety laws and regulations. Ensure the organization complies with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable standards. Incident Management: Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, or incidents to determine causes and recommend preventive measures. Maintain detailed records of incidents and follow up on corrective actions. Safety Equipment and Supplies: Ensure the availability and proper functioning of safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of safety audits, training, incidents, and compliance efforts. Provide regular updates to management on safety performance and areas for improvement.
