Internship Details
- Internship Period: Minimum 4 months (beginning Feb' 2025)
- Location: Remote work, & based in Klang Valley.
- Working Hours: Flexible Part-time (25 Hours/week).
- Monthly allowance, RM800 will be provided, along with an additional transport allowance (subject to approval). The exact amount would be based on experience.
Detailed Job Scope
(1) Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns across Zero Waste Malaysia's portfolio.
(2) Create and execute monthly content calendars to promote organisation values and programmes on various social media channels.
(3) Create compelling graphics, short form videos, and write captions that speak to the organisation's target audience.
(4) Monitor social media metrics to identify high-performing ideas, track campaign performance, and contribute to reporting on key platforms: Facebook, Instagram & TikTok.
(5) Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms in line with the organisation's tone of voice.
(6) Perform social media marketing research to generate ideas for original content.
(7) Keep up-to-date with social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
(8) Conduct educational outreach through physical booths.
(9) Support with outreach and marketing for adhoc activities: workshops, small-scale events, etc.
Skills/Experience
(1) Background in Marketing, Social Media or Communication.
(2) Experience creating social media content.
(3) Interest in sustainability, education and zero waste.
(4) Open to being on camera, and producing tiktoker style videos.
Great to have: Experience running paid ads.
Great to have: Experience managing social media/marketing campaigns.
Great to have: Conversational literacy in BM & English.
Requirements:
- Available for a minimum of 4 months .
- Remote work, but will be required to travel for work and meetings in the Klang Valley (KL and Selangor).
- Able to commit to weekly online meetings and monthly physical meetups.
- Have own laptop and electronic devices for work.
Job Expectations
- 25 hour flexible work week (might be required to work weekends when there's exciting programmes/opportunities!).
- Intern will work closely and be guided by our Senior Programmes & Comms Officer.

Pay: RM600.00 - RM800.00 per month
