Job Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Management and Maintenance
- Oversee the daily management and inspection of all material handling equipment in the warehouse (e.g., forklifts, electric pallet trucks, lift platforms, etc.).
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure equipment operates smoothly and reduce failure rates.
- Maintain comprehensive equipment records, including operational status, maintenance, repair, and inspection logs.
2. Safety Supervision and Training
- Ensure all equipment operations comply with company and national safety standards.
- Conduct regular training sessions for employees on equipment use, safety procedures, and emergency handling.
- Monitor for any non-compliance during equipment operation and provide recommendations for improvement.
3. Equipment Procurement and Budgeting
- Assist in evaluating and recommending suitable material handling equipment based on business needs.
- Develop and manage equipment usage and maintenance budgets, monitoring and analyzing expenditures.
4. Equipment Optimization and Improvement
- Propose optimization plans for equipment usage based on warehouse or logistics operations to enhance efficiency.
- Stay informed about the latest technologies in material handling equipment and evaluate their applicability for potential adoption.
5. Problem-Solving and Emergency Response
- Address issues arising during equipment operation and liaise with the repair team or suppliers.
- Develop emergency plans for sudden equipment failures to ensure minimal impact on warehouse operations.
Job Requirements:
1. Educational Background
- Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics Management, or related fields.
2. Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in material handling equipment management or related fields.
- Proficient in the operation, maintenance, and safety standards of material handling equipment.
3. Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical equipment with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve common issues.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to maintain effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proficient in office software for managing equipment logs and generating reports.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
