Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety practices. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of high-quality baked goods, ensuring that all products are made according to established recipes and standards. You will also maintain a clean and organized work environment while working closely with other bakery staff to meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, such as Cake, pastries, cake decorating and other special items.
- Operate baking equipment (e.g., ovens, mixers, proofers) safely and efficiently, performing routine maintenance and cleaning as needed.
- Follow instructions and adjust as necessary to ensure consistency, quality, and taste.
- Monitor baking processes to ensure products are of high quality, visually appealing, and meet food safety standards.
- Inventory of baking supplies and tools, ensuring adequate stock and ordering when necessary.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and health regulations to ensure food safety and cleanliness of the kitchen and bakery area.
- Work closely with other bakery staff, including decorators, packaging, and front-of-house teams, to ensure smooth operation of the bakery.
- Assist in the creation of new products and seasonal offerings, contributing ideas for new recipes and designs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within the food service or bakery industry.
- Knowledge of baking techniques and high standards of food quality and safety.
- Familiarity with the operation and cleaning of baking equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for baking.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
- Flexibility to work on shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Preferred with a Diploma or anything equivalent (additional culinary education or certifications a plus).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
